And then the mold took over…
So the next step was supposed to be adding coco coir, which is the middle part of the dried coconut husk. It’s supposed to be super bacteria resistant. However, I decided to use a mixture of coco coir and compost from the house. Well turns out my compost is in fact completely covered in mold. So, unfortunately, the three monotubs I had were basically unconsumable. At least it’s making really great soil!
But most of all, this process is teaching me patience and to trust the process. The knowledge of those before me is trustworthy and proven. Sometimes I don’t need to invent, I just need to experience.
